Which of the following is a consistent risk factor for the development of psychotropic-induced SIADH?
Risk factors for psychotropic-induced SIADH include older age, female sex, comorbid heart/kidney/liver failure, low body weight, hypothyroidism and hx of hyponatremia from any cause. Higher doses of SSRI's are more likely to cause SIADH, but this relationship does not appear to be true of antipsychotics.
